You know in advance exactly what happens, how long it takes and what it costs. No surprises, but a clear plan.

Intake and 3D imaging

During a no-obligation consultation of 30 to 45 minutes we discuss your wishes and make a 3D CBCT scan of your jaw. That way we see exactly how much healthy jawbone there is. You take a personal treatment plan and a written estimate home with you.

Placement of the implant

Under local anaesthetic we place the titanium implant in your jawbone, which takes 30 to 60 minutes per implant. You mainly feel some pressure, no pain. Afterwards you simply go home on your own.

Healing and fusion

Over 3 to 6 months the implant fuses with your jawbone, which is called osseointegration. During that period you wear a temporary restoration, so you never walk around with a visible gap in your teeth.

The final crown

Our own in-house laboratory makes the final crown, bridge or clip-on denture made to measure. From that moment on you can eat and smile again without giving it a second thought.

Costs and reimbursement

What does implantology cost in Rotterdam?

The cost depends on the number of implants, the type of crown and any preparatory treatment. That is why we do not work with standard prices, but with clarity upfront.

We charge the national NZa rates, the same rates as every dentist in the Netherlands. After the consultation with 3D scan you receive a personal written estimate, so you know exactly where you stand.

Above 250 euros such a written estimate is even mandatory. You then decide calmly at home, there is never any pressure to start right away.

Reimbursement through your insurance

For adults, an implant with a crown usually falls under the supplementary dental insurance, and policies differ a lot in what they cover. So look carefully at your own policy or ask us.

The implant itself can last a lifetime with good oral hygiene and regular check-ups. The crown on the implant lasts 10 to 15 years on average and can then be replaced without the implant having to come out.

How do I care for my implant after placement?

Brush twice a day, clean the space between implant and gum with interdental brushes and come in for regular check-ups. Our dental hygienist teaches you exactly how to keep your implant clean, so it lasts as long as possible.
